Liquid thrush treatments run everywhere, stain your hands, and smell terrible. Tolnoxequine is a cream β it stays where you put it, goes into the sulci of the frog, and gets to work without the mess.
1% Tolnaftate antifungal cream in a 50 g squeeze tube. Targeted application directly into the grooves of the frog where thrush bacteria and fungi hide. Apply daily for 10 days.
β Why cream over liquid: Thick consistency stays in the sulci instead of running off the sole. No staining, no fumes, no mess on your hands or the stable floor.
π΄ When to Use It
Reach for Tolnoxequine when your horse has:
Foul-smelling black discharge from the frog sulci β the classic sign of active thrush
Soft, crumbly, or eroded frog tissue
Sensitivity or flinching when the frog is touched or picked
Recurring thrush in wet paddock or muddy pasture conditions
Early white line separation or fungal involvement at the hoof wall junction
𧴠How to Apply
1
Pick and clean β remove all packed dirt and debris from the sole and frog. Trim away any loose or dead frog tissue if possible.
2
Apply into the sulci β squeeze a continuous layer (~6 mm thick) directly along the central and lateral sulci of the frog where the infection lives.
3
Repeat daily for 10 days β apply a light wrap if needed to hold the cream in place. Continue the full course even if the smell resolves early.
