DESCRIPTION:
Oxy Tetra Forte is a soluble antibiotic powder for Swine, Cattle and Poultry. Each 400 grams of powder contains 88 grams of oxytetracycline hydrochloride. This is the same as 220 mg/g, or 1000 mg (1 gram) per teaspoon.
INDICATIONS:
Oxy Tetra Forte is indicated as an aid in the prevention or treatment of specific diseases caused by organisms susceptible to oxytetracycline hydrochloride.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
To reduce the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain effectiveness, use this antibiotic prudently and for the shortest duration required to achieve the desired clinical outcome.

Oxy Tetra Forte may be used in 3 different ways:
1) As a Drench - for individual treatment.
2) In Water - for entire herd or flock.
3) In Feed - sprinkled on or mixed.
Note: Fresh solutions should be prepared daily. It is also important to ensure adequate fluid intake, as amounts are based on average daily intakes. This also applies to feeds, where adequate intake in needed to ensure proper dosing.
SWINE
Scours - For treatment use ½ teaspoon per 45 kg bodyweight in 2 ¼ kg feed or 4.5 L water. Treat for 4 - 5 days. In case of newborn pigs, mix ½ - ¾ teaspoon per 30 mL water and give 1 teaspoon of this mixture twice daily for 3 days. Prevention levels should be half those for treatment.
Respiratory Diseases - For treatment use 1 teaspoon per 45 kg bodyweight or 4.5 L water and give for 4 - 5 days.
Leptospirosis – Mix 1 ½ teaspoons per 4.5 L water and give continuously, as an aid in reducing urinary shedding of leptospiral organisms, reducing incidence of abortion, increasing survival, and weaning of healthier pigs.
CATTLE & CALVES
Scours - For treatment use ½ teaspoon per 45 kg in 60 - 90 mL water or milk as a drench. For herds use ¼ teaspoon per 4.5 L water, treat for 4 - 5 days. For prevention use half the treatment level.
Respiratory Diseases - For treatment or prevention use ½ - 1 teaspoon per 45 kg of bodyweight in drinking water or in 60 - 90 mL water or milk as a drench. For herds, use ¼ - ½ teaspoon per 4.5 L drinking water.
CHICKENS & TURKEYS
Chronic Respiratory Disease - Use ¼ teaspoon per 4.5 L drinking water or 2 ¼ kg feed and administer from onset until a few days after symptoms disappear.
Blue Comb - For treatment give ½ teaspoon per 4.5 L drinking water or 2 ¼ kg feed for 5 days or until a few days after symptoms disappear. For prevention use half the treatment level.
Synovite - Mix ½ teaspoon per 4.5 L drinking water or 2 ¼ kg feed.
WARNINGS:
Milk taken from treated cattle within 60 hours after the latest treatment with this drug must not be used in food. Eggs taken from treated birds within 5 days after the latest treatment must not be used in food. Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 7 days for poultry, and 10 days for swine and cattle after the latest treatment with this drug. When handling the product, avoid inhalation, oral exposure and direct contact with skin or eyes. Keep out of reach of children.

Prepare a stock solution by mixing 400 grams Oxy Tetra Forte with 4 Litres of water. Each ounce of this stock will deliver ½ teaspoon of Oxy Tetra Forte.
